Financial Aid

Brotman Hall, Rm. 101 (BH-101) • (562) 985-8403 • www.csulb.edu/financial-aid

More than half of all CSULB students receive some type of financial aid. To apply for financial aid, students simply need to complete one application - the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA application process is free, simple and can be done on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
If eligible, the following financial aid programs are available to assist with registration fees, books and other educational expenses:

  • Cal Grant A or B
  • Pell Grant
  • SEOG Grant
  • State University Grant
  • EOP Grant
  • Work Study
  • Perkins Loan
  • Stafford Loan

Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid during the priority filing period, which is January through March of each calendar year. Financial aid is available to students who meet eligibility requirements. Available programs, such as grants, scholarships, loans and employment opportunities, are sponsored by the federal government, the State of California, the university and private donors. For more specific information and key deadlines, visit the Financial Aid website at www.csulb.edu/financial-aid.
