Operation: Return to The Beach

About the Program

Operation: Return to The Beach is a program developed to work with students who have not completed remedial course work within their first year at Cal State Long Beach (CSULB) and have taken an Educational Leave of Absence. The program is designed to provide support to this student population by helping to keep them connected and still feeling like a part of CSULB while on leave. Students who participate in this program will retain their CSULB email, access to MYCSULB, library privileges and student ID card access to campus events.

Operation: Return to Tthe Beach is a multiple step program which will provide communications, programming and peer mentoring to assist students in their successful return to the Beach.

How to Get Involved

Students who file for an Educational Leave of Absence will be eligible to participate in Operation: Return to The Beach. These students will be sent an invitation to join which will include an interest form to fill out and send back to the STARS office. After filling out a request to join form, students will begin to receive email communications from the program about upcoming events and important news.

For additional information about Operation Return to The Beach, contact the STARS office.
