At CSULB Student Health Services, conveniently located right here on campus, the Family PACT Program offers these services to enrolled students at no cost.

What Can I Receive If I Qualify For The Family Pact Program?

Birth control (condoms, pills, NuvaRing, & Depo Provera)

IUD's, Contraceptive Implant and Sterilization services by referral only

STI testing and treatment for both men & women
An Annual Well Woman exam including Pap Smear, Colposcopy, and Pelvic Exam
Plan B also known as "The Morning After Pill"
Pregnancy testing and counseling
HIV screening and counseling
Education and counseling regarding birth control options
UTI's and vaginal complaints
Basic sexual & reproductive health visits

How Do I Know If I Qualify?

You will qualify if you meet the following requirements:

Low-income
California resident
Uninsured or you have insurance but need confidentiality from parents or spouse

How Do I Enroll/Re-Enroll In Family Pact?

You must maintain current enrollment in Family PACT to qualify for the program. To enroll or re-enroll in the program, follow these simple steps:

Call Student Health Services at (562) 985-4771 to schedule a quick and convenient enrollment appointment.

First time enrollees receive a FREE Sample Pack containing condoms, lube, and more!

Already a Family PACT member? Check your Health Access Program (HAP)card's expiration date. Annual re-enrollment is required to keep your program benefits. Card

How Do I Use Family Pact Program Benefits?

Schedule a free and confidential Family PACT appointment online or by calling Student Health Services at (562)985-4771.
Bring your unexpired HAP card with you to your appointment
Pick up your prescription at the pharmacy located right here at Student Health Services

Use Of An Outside Pharmacy

If you are leaving the area for any reason make sure you have enough supplies of your prescribed contraceptive method. Remember that Family PACT is only good in California. To locate a Family PACT provider in your area, call 1-800-942-1054 or visit FamilyPACT.org and enter your zip code.

Family PACT Client's Use of Outside Pharmacies
Wherever you are in California, you can go to any retail pharmacy (e.g. Walgreens, CVS, Costco) to get a Family PACT prescription filled. Some pharmacies have had problems with Family PACT prescriptions so SHS suggests that you present the Family PACT Outside Pharmacy Letter whenever you need to fill a prescription at a pharmacy other than the SHS pharmacy. To refill a Family PACT prescription at a California retail pharmacy, present the Family PACT Outside Pharmacy Letter and your prescription container with its label. The pharmacist can call the SHS Pharmacy at (562) 985-1561 to have your prescription transferred. See Student Health Service Main webpage for service hours.
