    NCAA Division 1 Championships / Distinctions

    • For the third year in a row, CSULB won the Big West Commissioner's Cup for 2012-13, which recognizes CSULB as having the most successful athletic department in the Big West Conference. The 49ers have won the award in four of the last five seasons.

    • Men's Basketball, Women's Tennis and Men's Track & Field all won Big West championships in 2012-13. The Sand Volleyball Team won the 2013 National Championship, making CSULB the first school to win in both indoor and outdoor volleyball.


    • Championships include: Baseball (4 College World Series, 19 NCAAs), Women's Basketball (2 Final Fours, 18 national tournaments), Women's Soccer (1 Elite Eight, 4 NCAAs), Softball (5 College World Series, 21 NCAAs), Men's Volleyball (1 NCAA title, 5 Final Fours), Women's Volleyball (5 national titles, 34 national tournaments), Men's Water Polo (11 NCAAs).
