Implementation

Full implementation of campus plans begins, with the goal of integrating accessibility at the design stage of software, web, course development and business and instructional practices.

August 10, 2007 Submit Accessible E&IT Plan to Chancellor’s Office. (Procurement Subcommittee)
August 15, 2007 Submit annual Web and Instructional Materials progress reports to Chancellor’s Office. (Web Accessibility Subcommittee and Timely Accessible Instructional Materials Subcommittee)
August 22, 2007 Steering Committee meets.
September 2007 Make PowerPoint presentations to various campus constituencies to provide orientation about the Accessible Technology Initiative. Groups include President’s Cabinet, Academic Senate, Staff Council, Associated Students Senate, Senior Management Council, Board of Governors, associate dean, department chairs, Student Services Managers Group.

  • Ensure that all new administrative websites, web applications and web content conform to baseline accessibility standards. (Web Accessibility Subcommittee)
  • Incorporate 508 into E&IT purchases, except credit card purchase. (Procurement Subcommittee)

October 2007 Publish article in Inside CSULB suggesting that faculty and staff review the ATI website and PowerPoint presentation.
October 11, 2007 Academic Senate reviews Instructional Materials Accessibility Plan.
October 24, 2007 Steering Committee meets.
November 1, 2007 Submit final Instructional Materials Accessibility Plan to Chancellor's Office. (Timely Accessible Materials Subcommittee)
November 28, 2007 Steering Committee meets.

February 2008 Implement IMPA provisions related to timeliness of alternate formats for print-based instructional materials (for fall 2008 materials). (Timely Accessible Instructional Materials Subcommittee)
