ATI Timeline 2006-07

Planning and Evaluation

The focus of this first year is on planning, policy and procedures development, communication and training. Initial implementation begins during the second half of the year.

January 2007 Conduct evaluation to obtain baseline accessibility of entire campus website. Select 20 URLS to conduct in-depth evaluation to determine problems. Repair or redesign. (Web Accessibility Subcommittee)
January 2007 Campus ATI Procurement policy developed and distributed; begin pilot implementation of procurement process for formal solicitations (i.e. RFPs & RFQs). (Procurement Subcommittee)

March 29, 2007 Announce Accessible Technology Initiative via e-mail from President F. King Alexander to CSULB faculty and staff.
April 2007 Orient Academic Senate Executive Committee by Vice President Doug Robinson, ATI Steering Committee Chair.
April 2, 2007 Publish initial article in Inside CSULB explaining the Accessible Technology Initiative and its timeline.
April 19, 2007 Present information to RPP Committee by Vice President Doug Robinson, ATI Steering Committee Chair.
May 2007 Develop campus policies, procedures and accountability process. (Campus Planning, Self Evaluation and IT Transition Plan Subcommittee)
May 2, 2007 Steering Committee meets.
May 15, 2007 Complete self-evaluation of campus websites and web applications; establish remediation plan. Complete First Year Web Report. (Web Accessibility Subcommittee)
May 18, 2007 Submit subcommittee reports to ATI Steering Committee chair.
May 21, 2007 Launch CSULB Accessible Technology Initiative website.
May 23, 2007 Steering Committee meets.
June 15, 2007
  • Submit draft of Instructional Materials Accessibility Plan to Chancellor’s Office. (Timely Accessible Instructional Materials Subcommittee)
  • Submit Web Accessibility Implementation Plan and First Year Web Report. (Web Accessibility Subcommittee)
