SAAA20 — Introduction to Academic Advising for Advisors and Staff

Prerequisites:

PeopleSoft Student Administration System Security Authorization and Student Administration Confidentiality/Security Agreement forms must be on file in Enrollment Services.

Must demonstrate competency in web navigation.

Course Information:

This course is for Advisors and Department Administration who have approved security to frequently access student information vital to assessment and advisement. Attendees will be introduced to the Advisor Center component. Particular focus will be on the Academic Requirement report, Advisor Notes, What-If Reports, Timely Graduation Summary, Unofficial Transcripts, and Course History. This course will also cover the entering of Advisor Requests, and an introduction to CS Link Reports.

In addition, will also cover the processing of Advisor Requests, and an introduction to CS Link Reports.

Prerequisites:

PeopleSoft Student Administration System Security Authorization and Student Administration Confidentiality/Security Agreement forms must be on file in Enrollment Services.

The Department request for Student Assistant access to Academic Advising content must be on file in Enrollment Services prior to enrollment in the required course.

Course Information:

This course is for Student Assistants who have approved security to frequently access student information vital to assessment and advisement. Attendees will be introduced to the Advisor Center component. Particular focus will be on the Academic Requirement report, Advisor Notes, Unofficial Transcripts, and Course History. Course Description:
    This class will cover:

  • Viewing the Schedule of Classes

  • Viewing a Student's Enrollment eligibility
  • Viewing a Student's Schedule
  • Viewing a Student's Academic Program/Plan

SASR11 — Issuing Permissions

Course Information:

This course is for end-users who are authorized to issue permission during the self-service registration process.

Course Description:

This class includes hands-on training on issuing student specific permissions in the Student Administration system.

SASR23 — Maintaining Service Indicators

Prerequisites:

SASR22.1, Student Records Inquiry

Course Information:

This course is for end users who are authorized to maintain service indicators (holds).

Course Description:

This class will include hands-on training on how to place a negative service indicator (hold) and how to release a negative service indicator.

SAAD01.1 — Introduction to SA & Admissions Inquiry

Prerequisites:

Attendance is by invitation only. Prior to attending, participant must submit the PeopleSoft Student Administration System Security Authorization Form and the Student Administration Confidentiality/Security Agreement Form to BH-123.

Course Information:

This course is for end users who require admissions data for information and inquiry purposes.

  • Navigation to and understanding of admissions inquiry pages

SAAD072 — Graduate Department Review

Prerequisites:

Attendance is by invitation only. Prior to attending, participant must submit the PeopleSoft Student Administration System Security Authorization Form and the Student Administration Confidentiality/Security Agreement Form to BH-123.

Co-requisite:

Must have attended, or be scheduled to attend SAAD01.1 Introduction to SA & Admissions Inquiry.

Course Information:

This course is designed for graduate advisors or staff who will enter or view department admissions decisions for applicants to Master's Degree programs or to specific Credential programs.
