Each summer the Parent Orientation Program (POP) offers parents an opportunity to learn about the academic requirements necessary to obtain a baccalaureate degree and introduces parents to campus services for students.
During this day-long orientation, parents will
Receive information about what leads to student academic success,
Participate in a classroom experience to better understand faculty expectations of your son or daughter,
Get an introduction to campus services for students, and
Receive more information about what leads to student success.
Although attendance for parents is not mandatory, POP empowers you to serve as a valuable resource for your new CSULB student. Together we can provide a solid foundation for your entering freshman.
How to Register
Parent Orientation Program dates and registration information will be posted in late April. Invitations to the Parent Orientation Program, which is held in the summer, will be mailed to parents of admitted (Fall 2014) freshmen in April/May 2014.
Thank you for your interest. We look forward to seeing you at POP in the summer!
