Upcoming Tree Removal/Replacement Project

Physical Planning and Facilities Management (PPFM) is committed to sustaining the health and safety of the nearly 7,000 thousand trees planted across campus. In addition to routine maintenance, PPFM removes failing and hazardous trees as necessary, and replaces them on at least a one-to-one basis in accordance with the approved Landscape Master Plan.

This summer, a tree removal/replacement project will take place in the Central Quad. If you would like to learn more about the specifics of this project, please join us from 12 to 1 pm in the Barrett Athletic Administration Building on either Wednesday, May 8 or Thursday, May 9 for a presentation and Q&A session.

For more information, contact Genetric Brown at Genetric.Brown@csulb.edu or call extension 5-8886.

Did You Know?

The College of Education has received a $20,000 gift from the Fluor Foundation to support the Transforming Teaching and Learning Through Technology (T2L2T) Program.

The program strengthens beginning elementary school teachers’ understanding of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) content and strategies. It teaches them to identify technologies, such as free software and open educational resources, that align with their fields of interest, develop and refine ways of using these technologies in their teaching, and then begin integrating the new technologies into their classrooms.
