Position

Associate Professor Of Physical Therapy (Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation)
 

Effective Date

August 19, 2013 (Fall 2013 semester)

Salary Range

Commensurate with qualifications and experience

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Physical therapist with post entry-level doctorate degree at time of appointment
  • Evidence of ability to teach graduate courses in Physical Therapy with an emphasis on Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation
  • Evidence of ability to initiate active scholarly research and supervise student research                                                         
  • 2 years of clinical experience
  • Licensed, or be eligible for licensure, as a Physical Therapist in California
  • Commitment to and/or expertise in educating a diverse student population

 

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in Physical Therapy
  • Two or more years of clinical practice in Neuromusculoskeletal Disability
  • Two years of teaching experience in Physical Therapy with an emphasis in Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation
  • An established research program in Physical Therapy as demonstrated by published research or scholarly activity

 

Duties

  • Teach a variety of graduate physical therapy courses
  • Supervise graduate physical therapy students in directed research projects
  • Advise students
  • Participate in supervision of students in their clinical internships
  • Conduct research/scholarly activities
  • Engage in Departmental, College and University governance and Community Service

  • Three current letters of recommendation
  • One or two reprints/preprints of scholarly writing
  • A copy of transcript from institution awarding highest degree
  • One or two sample syllabi
  • Finalists will be required to submit official transcript and a signed SC-1 form that will be provided to them prior to an interview
