EPT and ELM Exemptions

 

You may not need to take the EPTor ELM if you performed well on another standardized test or earned transferable credits from another college.

EPT

You are exempt from taking the EPT if you earned:

  • An SAT score of 500 or above
  • An ACT score of 22 or above
  • An EESL score of 551 or above
  • Or have an EAP Z-exemption.

ELM

You are exempt from taking the ELM if you earned:

  • An SAT score of 550 or above
  • An ACT score of 23 or above
  • Or have an EAP Z-exemption.

Students who believe they are exempt should complete the Exemption Form, attach the appropriate documentation, and submit these documents to the Office of Enrollment Services (BH-101). Students will be notified only if the exemption is not granted.
