Panopto - Create Drop Box for Students

What does a drop box do exactly? Essentially, enabling a drop box on a folder grants viewers an extra ability; they can record and submit content to a designated folder without being able to view or edit other user's sessions.

  1. Go to http://beachboard.csulb.edu and log in with your Campus ID and password.
  2. Click the course that is setup with Panopto.
  3. Click "Lecture Videos” from the course navigation bar. A new window will be automatically opened and redirect you to the Panopto web page.

  4. Right click on the desired folder and select “ Settings ”.

  5. Select the Overview tab and click the “ Create Drop Box ” button.

Students will need to be directed to download the software and follow the steps in the “ how to record ” process located on our website .
