BeachBoard Upgrade - Summer 2012

BeachBoard will be upgraded for the fall 2012 semester on Thursday, July 5, 2012.  Even though this is a system upgrade, your students will not notice much of a difference.

This release:

  1. Builds on the student engagement tools in earlier releases
  2. Improves the performance of the software
  3. Enhances the discussion board and gradebook to make it easier to use,
  4. Brings new features such as self assessment and peer review features to build student engagement.

What has NOT changed

If you know how to use BeachBoard, you already know how to use BeachBoard v. 9.4. BeachBoard’s layout, tabs, color scheme, course design, and even course control panel layout remain the same. The tools you use to upload your syllabus and course documents, create assignments, add links to websites, add announcements, send emails, and so on remain unchanged.

Significant changes, fixes, and improvements

Instructor members will be able to more effectively manage the Dropbox

 

  • EMAIL ANNOUNCEMENTS is a new feature
  • Several DISCUSSION BOARD user interface, navigation, and feature enhancements
