Society of Physics Students

The Society of Physics Students (SPS) is a professional association explicitly designed for students. Membership, through collegiate chapters, is open to anyone interested in physics. The only requirement for membership is that you be interested in physics. Besides physics majors, our members include majors in chemistry, computer science, engineering, geology, mathematics, medicine, and other fields.

Women in Physics

BeachSync link: Women in Physics

This organization aims to build community and support gender diversity among physics students at CSULB. Transgender women, cisgender women, non-binary people, and gender diverse physics students are all welcome in Women in Physics (WiP)! The goal is to promote a sense of belonging for each person in our physics community, as well as provide an opportunity to network and learn from each other about academic and career development while navigating the field as an underrepresented gender.
