Alumni

Welcome home! We are glad you are taking time to check what is happening at the department, your department. Please have a look at our activities by browsing through this website. You will discover that the department is in constant transformation, striving for the best each new semester. We hope you will be proud of your department!

We would be very pleased to hear from you (physics@csulb.edu) and know how you have been doing in the years since you finished your degree at the Physics and Astronomy department. We would also be happy to welcome you on the campus should you decide to come visit us. Please let us know in advance so we can arrange a lunch together.

We are interested to keep a confidential updated database of our alumni. May we ask you to take a moment and fill out the on-line Contact Information Form below? This form can then be sent directly to the department chair.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

The Chair of the Department.

Two downloadable pdf forms are below. Using Acrobat Reader, (free for any platform, at ( http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/ Click Download at the upper right of the page. ). You can fill in these forms on your computer and email them back with a click or two.

The first form, Contact Info, updates your contact information, particularly your email address and current work.

With the second form, Alumni Survey 2007, we ask you participate in our self-study, an important process that occurs every 5 years. Both internal and external committees, the latter composed of physicists from outside the university, examine our degree programs and outcomes. As part of this, we need to have your input and feedback.

I (Patrick Kenealy, Chair) guarantee that your input will be anonymous, aggregated with others, and that your name will not be associated with any reports of the data. Any information will come directly to me, and your name will be separated from the information. I will use your name only to check off that you sent the survey, with no other connection recorded.

Both the Info and Survey documents that you download can be filled out quite easily, and then, with a click of the button at the end, be setup to email them directly to the Chair.

A self-study is a key and significant time for a Department, a time to make needed improvements and modernize our offerings. Thank you very much for any help you can give us.
