Rena Urso-Trapani at the National Flute Convention

Rena Urso-Trapani and Alcyone EnsembleAdjunct instructor of flute and alumnae Rena Urso-Trapani performed several works at the National Flute Association Convention in Las Vegas in August. Rena performed Tracoline by Donjon with Alcyone Ensemble and guest accordionist Anne Charboneau.  She also took part in Una Piccolo Sinfonia by Matthew King, British composer and member of the composition faculty at the Guildhall School. Una Piccolo Sinfonia is scored for for nine piccolos.

Next summer, Rena will teach a CSU Summer Arts course entitled, “Comprehensive Flute Seminar” at CSU Monterey Bay.
