Robert Cavanagh
Robert Cavanagh is a lecturer in Cinematic Arts who teaches courses on Film Theory, Media Aesthetics, and the History of Broadcasting.
Robert received his M.A. in Cinema Studies from NYU in 2004 and his Ph.D. from Northwestern University's Screen Cultures program in 2014.
Robert is a media studies scholar whose work on aesthetics and media industries has appeared in a number of scholarly journals and edited collections. Some of his most recent published work has explored the role of video game soundtrack albums in the digital revolution in the music industry and the use of experimental practices in sports documentary.
Robert is from the Washington, DC area originally but has been living in the Los Angeles area for the last 10 years.
