Making connections to industry representatives is an important part of being a successful engineering student at CSULB. The office of Leadership and Diversity encourages networking between students and industries around the area by inviting industry representatives to lead career and professional development workshops for engineering students. Industry representatives from companies such as Northrop Grumman and Southern California Edison have facilitated workshops specifically for College of Engineering students on resume building and internship/job searching.
The College of Engineering mock interviews which are held each spring semester is a great opportunity to develop interviewing and networking skills with engineering industries. With over 20 engineering companies represented at this event, the mock interviews are great for expanding students’ connection s and improving their chances for securing an internship or job in the future.
