Peter Greenwald has over twenty-five years of experience in air quality law and policy. He currently serves as Senior Policy Advisor for the South Coast Air Quality Management District. Between 1990 and 2000, Mr. Greenwald was General Counsel for the SCAQMD, heading up a staff of over thirty attorneys, investigators and support personnel. From 2000 through 2003, he served as a consultant to regulatory agencies, including air quality districts throughout California and the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Mr. Greenwald's recent work includes policy, planning and advocacy to support a transition to cleaner technologies and energy sources for freight movement and stationary equipment. Mr. Greenwald also has served as an adjunct professor teaching environmental law at Loyola Law School, and as a member of the Editorial Board of the Lexis/Nexis publication California Environmental Law Reporter. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in economics from the University of California at Los Angeles, and a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Santa Clara School of Law, where he was an editor of the Law Review.
