INCOMING FRESHMEN AND TRANSFER STUDENTS SHOULD CONSULT WITH THE AAC OR THE COE RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION CENTER BEFORE SEEKING ADVICE FROM THEIR MAJOR DEPARTMENT:
The Academic Advising Center can assist you with:
General Education requirements;
Academic program planning;
Your Degree Progress Report and other University documents;
University policies;
Information about academic probation policies, remediation strategies,
and course repeat/delete procedures;
Special services for entering freshman and adult reentry and
undeclared students; and
Comprehensive referrals for campus resources and academic processes.
Location of the AAC: Horn Center, Room 103. The Academic Advising
Center is the "home base" for all undeclared students,
including signature authority on all University related documents.
Appointments: The Center operates by appointment, however, they
are usually able to see a limited number of students on a "walk-in"
basis. Please call (562) 985-4837 for an appointment.
Hours: Regular office hours are Monday - Thursday from 9 a.m.
- 5 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Our hours may vary
during vacation and peak periods. Evening hours are sometimes

the prompts, for appointment information.
