The Analytical Instrumentation Laboratory is utilized for educational and research projects being conducted by all ChE faculty members and students. We possess instruments for chemical and electrical analysis, optics and microscopy, as well as lab tools that are needed for handling chemicals.
Nicolet FT-IR Spectrophotometer. This instrument is used to determine chemical composition with infrared spectroscopy.
Shimadzu UV-vis Spectrophotometer. This instrument is used to determine chemical composition with ultra-violet and visible spectroscopy.
SRI Gas Chromatograph with FID Detector. This instrument is used to determine chemical quantities with gas chromatography.
Keithley 2400 Multimeter. This instrument is primarily used to support educational and research projects in PEM fuel cells and solar cells.
Zeiss Microscope with Hamamatsu Camera. This instrument is primarily used to support educational and research projects in microfluidics.
Paraytec UV Area Imager. This instrument is primarily used to support educational and research projects in microfluidics.
