*425. Polymer Synthesis and Characterization (3)

  • Prerequisite: CHEM 320A or consent of instructor.
  • Physical and chemical concepts in production of polymers. Relation of chemical structure to bulk properties of plastics. Laboratory synthesis of polymers and mechanical, thermal and molecular characterization.
  • (Lecture-problems 2 hours, laboratory 3 hours) Letter grade only (A-F)
