We are a funded, early stage startup in need of experienced java engineers for a cool project.

• Energetic & smart!
• Experienced: 1-2+ years of java, server side. bs comp sci at least.
• Strong oo skills.
• The basics covered: linux, mysql, jsp, spring, jboss/tomcat etc.
• Experience building scalable systems.
• Ability to problem solve. “out of the box” thinking.
• Broad range of software dev experience & interests.

Nice if you had:

• Agile dev experience
• Svn, cruise control, junit etc
• C++,
• AI interests
• Interest in taking a leadership role.

Not just your usual web app stuff. Absolutely have to be local to Los Angeles & willing to come into the office most days. We're certainly flexible with times & remoting with some of the work. But a lot of it will need whiteboarding, daily discussion, etc. So you'll need to be there.

Contract-to-hire. We're building a company we want to take all the way thru to successful exit. This is a great chance to get in on the ground floor. So we're looking for people who'll be committed to that vision. We'll make it worth your while.
