Oct 15th is the deadline to file your request to graduate for Spring or Summer 2008 graduation. If you file later than the filing dates listed above, you must file a Request to Apply for Graduation After the Published Deadline from Enrollment Services (BH-101) along with your Request to Graduate form. You must pay a $10 missed deadline fee as well.
The annual Book sale for the ACM, ACM programming team, and the CECS department will be held all day Wednesday October 17, 2007. The funds raised from this event will help fund ACM, ACM programming team, and the CECS department. We encourage everyone to stop by and buy a few books, as most are only a few dollars. The Career Development Center will host its annual Fall Job Fair on Thursday, October 18. The event will take place at the University Student Union Ballroom from 12 pm to 4 pm. Approximately 150 companies with full-time, part-time and internship opportunities have registered to attend, including numerous Fortune 500 companies. The Regional Programming contest will be held this year on Saturday, November 10 in Riverside. There are still a few available slots for participants. If you would like the opportunity to compete on our programming team, please contact Steve Gold.
NASA-USRP offers undergraduate students across the United States internships at NASA centers under the supervision of technical mentors. This prestigious program seeks rising sophomore, junior and senior students in the disciplines of engineering, math, computer science and life/physical sciences. Students may apply for 10-week summer session and15-week spring or fall session. NASA-USRP provides students with hands-on, real-life research experiences that challenge, inspire and bring practical application to complement the students’ academic education. Stipends are $6,000 for the summer session and $9,000 for fall and spring, plus a round-trip travel allowance. Application deadlines are:
