Computer Engineering & Computer Science (CECS)

CECS and Boeing Work/Study Partnership

CECS and Boeing are pleased to announce a work/study partnership to provide employment and advanced learning opportunities for our students. These jobs will be at least 20 hours per week and involve software engineering, coding and testing of Ada 95, C and C++ at the Boeing Long Beach assembly facility located at Long Beach Airport on the C-17 project.

Minimum qualifications include late junior or early senior standing with the following course requirements: completion of the calculus series, the physics series and Math or EE 380, credit in CECS 174, 274, 201 and 228 plus:

For Computer Science majors, credit in or completion by end of Spring 05 of at least four courses from CECS 323, 325, 326, 328 and 340. Desired qualifications include credit in or completion by end of Spring 05 of 475, 471, or 481 and particularly 443.

For Computer Engineering majors, credit in or completion by end of Spring 05 of at least four courses from CECS 301, 311, 326, 340, 346,347, and 360. Desired qualifications include credit in 443.

United States citizenship is required.

Please submit a letter stating your interest in applying and outlining your qualifications to Dr. Michael Hoffman, CECS. Application letters may be left with the CECS secretaries. Deadline for applying is 5:30pm Friday, April 22, 2005.

It is expected that students employed through this program are and will remain in full time enrollment at CSULB in either CS or CE.
