SimInsights is seeking interns who are interested in web-application development.

• Develop web & mobile applications for simulations and games for learning.
• Sample projects include web development, optical simulations, game development, data mining and multi-touch mobile apps.
• Build simulations of physical systems and verify by comparing with analytical solutions.
• Organize simulations on SimInsights website so worldwide users can access and use them.
• Disseminate work done through publications, blog posts, online forums, social media, presentations, screen casts etc.
• Communicate effectively with SimInsights team using email, Skype and phone.

• Enrollment in graduate or undergraduate program at a university.
• Relevant course work in engineering, math etc.
• Interest/experience in simulation and education is a plus.

SimInsights’ mission is to produce collaborative simulation software and games that engage students worldwide and help develop genuine understanding of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts. SimInsights is a California company founded in 2009 based on nearly a decade of experience in producing simulation software for professional engineers and scientists at Fortune 500 companies including Boeing, Toyota and Porsche.

By promoting a deep understanding of STEM concepts gained through “learning by doing” approach, SimInsights will better prepare students all around the world for STEM careers and also prepare the general population to understand complex scientific issues and make wise decisions. SimInsights website has received visits from over 1500 cities in nearly 100 countries.

Internship lenght: 8-10 weeks
