SCPD AWARDS

At the end of the academic year SCPD recognizes students for outstanding achievement in professional development, excellence in accounting and finance and overall excellence in their academic and personal lives. Winners in these categories receive an award which may vary depending on CBA and SCPD budgetary circumstances at the time. This year, due to new regulations on monetary awards and financial aid, the winners of our awards will receive an iPad Mini and will be recognized at our Awards Banquet, Friday, May 03 2013

All applications, to be considered, must be received by SCPD no later than 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013 and candidates must be available to give an oral presentation to a panel of judges during the week April 8, 2013 .

Students are responsible throughout the year for engaging in the activities that qualify them for the award and documenting those activities. Award winners are selected in April based on an essay with supporting documentation that discusses the student’s achievement in the respective category. After submission of the essays and documentation applicants will then give a 7 – 10 minute oral presentation to a panel of judges explaining why they are deserving of the respective award.

APPLICATION PROCESS

  1. Review Information details, & Required documents for the Awards you are planning to apply for.
  2. Complete SCPD Awards Application (please see below), attach your essay and letter of recommendation. 
  3. Remember, applications must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013 and candidates must be available to give an oral presentation to a panel of judges during the week April 8, 2013.
