Junior Mentoring Program
As students transition to junior status, there are many changes that will take place in their lives. The Junior Mentoring Program is a one-semester program where junior CBA students are paired with young professionals in a mentoring relationship. Mentors help students prepare for their college careers, sharing their skills, knowledge and advice on how to balance college, work and personal life. Focus is given to resume building and professional development activities that will better prepare the students for the job market and complement their academic learning experience.
Enrollment is limited to students who meet the following requirements:
- Be in good standing with the University
- Have a minimum 2.5 GPA
- Be a member of SCPD
- Attend the SCPD Orientation
- Complete the application form
INVITATION TO BECOME A JUNIOR MENTOR
The JMP is also a great opportunity for young professionals to continue developing their resumes while giving back to their community and university. We invite our alumni body to consider the opportunity to reconnect with SCPD and CBA and mentor a junior student.
If you are interested in becoming a mentor to a junior student, sharing your experiences as a recent graduate and young professional while assisting them transition to their college careers, please complete our mentor application.
