How is the Saturday MBA Program different from other programs?
The Saturday MBA Program is an all-inclusive, lock-step cohort program based on a 10-week term that includes textbooks, course materials, and additional services. It is designed for working professionals who need a fast-track MBA program that finishes in 23 months and doesn't involve weekday or evening courses.
What is the Saturday MBA Program?

When will this program begin?
New cohorts of Saturday MBA students begin each fall.
Where are the classes held?
All classes are held in the College of Business Administration classrooms on the CSULB campus.
When are the classes held?
Classes meet on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 5:45 pm, with one class in the morning and one class in the afternoon. Breakfast is available starting at 7:30 and there is 45-minute lunch break.
Who teaches the MBA courses?
The same high-quality faculty who teach in our regular evening MBA program.
When will I graduate?
The Saturday MBA program takes 23 months to complete. The Fall 2012 cohort will finish in mid-July 2014, though they will participate in the College of Business Administration graduation ceremony in late May 2014.
Is my Saturday MBA degree a real MBA?
Yes. The Saturday MBA is just our way of describing the unique package of courses and services. All MBA degrees at California State University Long Beach are fully accredited by AACSB International.
How many units do I have to take?
The Saturday MBA Program requires only 48 units to complete.
Are there areas of specialization available in the Saturday MBA Program?
No. The Saturday MBA Program is a new integrated curriculum which is designed as a general MBA. This gives the cohort the more desired broad-based curriculum while allowing them to have a solid graduate school experience.
What about business courses I've already taken at CSULB?
In accordance with the College of Business Administration’s graduate program policies, coursework completed more than three years prior to enrolling in the program does not qualify for waivers.
When is the admissions deadline?
The Saturday MBA cohort has a June 1, 2012 application deadline for admission.
How many students will be admitted to the cohort?
Given the cohort nature of the degree, class size will be limited to 40.
What if the program fills up?
Applications for each Saturday MBA cohort will be logged on a first-come, first-served basis. We always encourage early application to each cohort. We will maintain a waiting list for the next cohort. All Saturday MBA cohorts have a Fall Semester start date.
Will Saturday MBA Applicants be interviewed?
No. Admissions decisions will be based on the written application materials.
What is the cost?
The complete 23-month Saturday MBA program will cost $42,000. This includes hotel stay for orientation, pre-program, online MBA tool box, textbooks, any additional course materials, breakfast and lunch, the international experience (which includes ground transportation and hotel stay but not air fare), and additional student services.
How do I apply?
Fill out the MBA Program Information Sheet. There are 5 essay questions which are also required. Everything can be found on the "Application Materials" section of our website. A CSULB Post-Baccalaureate Application is also required (you may apply online at www.csumentor.edu) along with a check made out to "CSULB" for the $55 filing fee.
