Daytime Accelerated MBA FAQ

How is the Daytime Accelerated MBA different from other programs?

The Daytime Accelerated MBA is a lockstep cohort program where text books, parking, some meals and additional services are included. Students attend classes full-time during the day and complete the program in 13 months. The intensive format emphasizes team work and networking. The program is offered in five quarters where students complete three classes per quarter.

What is the Daytime Accelerated MBA Program?

When will this program begin?

New cohorts of the Daytime Accelerated MBA students begin each July.

Where are the classes held?

All classes are scheduled on the CSULB campus.

When are the classes held?

There are five quarters with breaks of one to three weeks scheduled between quarters.

Do you require work experience?

We look for candidates who demonstrate leadership and academic potential. Work experience is not required, but preferred. Many of the students in past Daytime Accelerated MBA cohorts joined the program right after they finished their undergraduate degree, and have only completed internships, which is acceptable.

Who teaches the MBA courses?

The same high-quality faculty who teach in our regular evening MBA program.

When will I graduate?

The Daytime Accelerated MBA program takes 13 months to complete.

Is my Daytime Accelerated MBA degree is real MBA?

Yes. The Daytime Accelerated MBA is fully accredited by AACSB and WASC.

How many units do I have to take?

Like our regular MBA Program, each AMBA Program cohort requires only 48 units to complete.

Are there areas of specialization available in the AMBA Program?

No. Due to the lock-step cohort nature of the Daytime Accelerated MBA, no specialization is available.

When is the admissions deadline?

The Daytime Accelerated MBA application window is October 1-April 15.

What if the program fills up?

Applications for the Daytime Accelerated MBA will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. We always encourage early application to each cohort, and we will consider a second cohort for the same year if there are enough qualified admitted students.

Will AMBA Applicants be interviewed?

No, we do not conduct interviews at this time.

What is my Cost?

The cost is $850 per unit or $40,800 for all 48 units. Prices valid for the Summer 2014 cohort and are subject to change without notice.
