Join us for the upcoming luncheon and reconnect with your fellow colleagues. Take this opportunity to come back to campus and learn about the new and exciting things that are happening at CSULB. Look for your invitation in the mail along with the fall speaker announcement by early October. The April 9th luncheon, with 62 attendees, was held at the new CSULB Residential Learning College (RLC). Guests enjoyed a full buffet lunch experience in the dining hall alongside the students and a special private facility tour. On the tour, emeriti faculty and staff learned that the 5.04-acre RLC, which was formerly the location of Brooks College, accommodates 550 students in a unique living and learning environment, and contains faculty apartments and classrooms. The facility opened in fall 2009, and demand for the RLC is expected to increase for the upcoming 2010-11 academic year. For questions, contact Leticia Lozoya at 562-985-2539 or llozoya@csulb.edu.
Take this opportunity to join the CSULB chapter of the Emeritus and Retired Faculty Association (ERFA) for its 2011 luncheon meetings. In spring 2010, the CSULB ERFA chapter elected a new board for a two-year term: Simon George, president; Rita Jones, immediate past president; Stephen Ross, vice president; Ronald Kroman, secretary; Joan McCauley, treasurer; and George Demos, Russ Lindquist and Leland Perry, members-at-large. ERFA is also in the process of compiling their members’ e-mail addresses for future announcements. To provide or update your current e-mail address, contact Noemi Guevara at 562-985-7536 or nguevara@csulb.edu.
