As a student, it was M.A. graduation. As a Dean of Students, I enjoyed working with ASI, Student Union and various faculty/student departments, but most of all, helping the creative, energetic student leaders.

Dr. Jack Montgomery, chair of HPE and R and Professor Kinsman, Education.
No time, carrying 21 units per semester, student teaching, coaching and writing a Master's Thesis.
I am a retired Dean of Students Emeritus, CSULB. Currently serving on various Boards and Committees including Board of Governors, LBCC, inducted into the Hall of Fame, LBCC and Distinguished Alumnus of UCLA.
Involved with the President's Associates, 49er Athletic Association, Golden Graduates Giving Campaign Chairman, 2011. I provide 5 scholarships for CSULB students; 2 in Education, 1 for ASI (endowed) 1 for ABSOC, 1 for Athletics, the President's Associates. Additionally, I provide 2 for LBCC and 1 at UCLA.
Being a 'Give-Back' alum is critical to the continued excellence at CSULB. Alums should envision themselves as part of the total University growth and excellence development. I would mention we find it most satisfying to help students financially with scholarships.
Wife, Trish, received B.A. and M. A. and credetials from CSULB. She was a cheerleader, Tri Delta and received the "Gold Nugget Award." She went on to an excellent award-winning teaching career.
CSULB experiences helped me with content and methodology to be a prepared, student-focused teacher ...first in High School, then at CSULB.
