Being in the first Freshman class in '54 and helping with all activities - intramural, sports, dances, and clubs.
In those days you attended all social and student events. Favorite hangout was the quad on the lower campus.
I became a teacher with a masters degree and I felt I was well prepared for all aspects of teaching and coaching.
(I'm) retired from teaching, refing high school, club, and college volleyball. Plus still raising a few sheep on my little farm in Shingle Springs, CA.
Through participation in sports, clubs, and a founding member of a national fraternity, the values received are hard to match. I am what I am and have achieved through being a founding member of LBSC. The campus is super now, but having only the "lower" campus in my days made everyone a friend and someone to share fun, growth, and memories. Being the first four year letterman in baseball gives me memories and friends to this day. Being in the first Freshman class in 1954 puts me in a special group of 9 - 12 students that shared many, many fun times and problems.
Are you ready for this - Nat King Cole - Henry Belafonte - Doris Day.
Ed Sullivan - Honeymooners - Pacific Coast League baseball games.
White Buck shoes. (You) had to carry a little brush around to keep them clean.
