Welcome

In 2007, the CSU will begin developing a new strategic plan, titled Access to Excellence, which is a successor to the Cornerstones Report (1997). The purpose of this Campus Conversation at California State University, Long Beach is to provide input to the CSU as it identifies strategic priorities to meet the challenges facing our campus and the system, and, to identify initiatives that will ensure access and excellence into the future.

Members of the CSULB campus community, including students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, and community members met Friday, Feb. 23, 2006 to engage in a campus conversation to envision our future, with a focus on seven areas:

Each attendee participated in facilitated discussion on one of these areas. Each group was asked to consider the question of where the campus should be 10 years from now, and how we might get there. The groups developed priorities for each area.

It's now your turn to suggest where CSULB will be a decade from now, along with your priorities for helping our campus get there. All students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and communities members are encouraged to use the feedback form appearing on each of the focus-group summary pages linked here.

What Are Your Ideas?

CSULB is actively seeking input from all students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, and community members.

We encourage you to add your valuable thoughts to the Campus Conversations dialog by using the feedback forms included on each of the seven focus area summary pages.
