A Return to the Community

The Department celebrates the return of opportunities to 'practice' teaching science in our local community. We are grateful to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Long Beach and Kettering Elementary School for welcoming CSULB students into their learning spaces, and giving our future elementary teachers a chance to see how kids engage with science first-hand.

Science Education on Location at the City of STEM Science Festival

The Science Learning Center joined hundreds of other community organizations and industry partners from across southern California to celebrate science, technology, engineering and math at the Los Angeles Maker Faire and City of STEM on Saturday April 6, 2024.

CSULB Students Honored with Art of Science Scholarship for 2023

Kudos to Eli Domingo, Christine Chu, Mia Miyata-Rodriguez, Victoria Tapper, and Alexis Loza as recipients of the Joe Russo Art of Science Award and Scholarship for 2023! The scholarship was established to honor Joe Russo, a graduate of CSULB's M.S. in Math Education program.
